At Birchs Bay Cherries, we grow a carefully selected range of premium cherry varieties, chosen for their exceptional taste, texture, and appearance. Each variety has its own unique flavour profile and harvest time, allowing us to offer a diverse and extended cherry season from early January to early February.
Van An early-season variety known for its rich colour, firm texture, and balanced sweetness — a perfect start to the Tasmanian cherry season.
Lapin Large, glossy, and juicy with a deep red flesh. Loved for its sweetness and resilience, Lapin cherries are a favourite for both export and local markets.
Simone Renowned for its elegant shape and intense flavour, Simone is slightly firmer with excellent shelf life — ideal for long-distance export.
Sweet Georgia One of our signature varieties, Sweet Georgia features a full-bodied sweetness and crisp texture, often described as the “heart” of Tasmanian cherries.
